The starting point of the exhibition was the homonymous book by René Huyghe, published in 1971, in which is made a research about the Shape. The French writer seeks to demonstrate how the structural similarity between some artistic shapes and all those that can be found in nature reveals a profound connection between the driving forces of the human spirit and those acting on universe. Thus, the exhibition is traversed by an attempt to work questions related to the intersection between art, nature and life, through the presented works, and by an evocation of the writer’s biography, whose path was guided by a quest for understanding the intimate relationship between these dimensions.
