The traveling exhibition project comprises four exhibitions featuring works from the State Contemporary Art Collection deposited at the Centre for Contemporary Art of Coimbra (CACC), the new acquisitions (2019–2024) of the State Contemporary Art Collection, works from the Caixa Geral de Depósitos Collection, and from the António Cachola Collection.
“A syllabary to be reconstructed”[1] was presented in four places and moments: Coimbra at the CACC and Sala da Cidade, from February to May 2024; Elvas, Museum of Contemporary Art, from July to October 2024; Óbidos, Galeria Nova Ogiva, from December 2025 to February 2026; and Porto, Culturgest, from March to June 2026. This project is supported by the Portuguese Republic–Culture / Directorate-General for the Arts, through RPAC – the Portuguese Contemporary Art Network.
Among the selected artists is Francisco Tropa, represented by Galeria Quadrado Azul.
