Willem Weismann was announced winner of the 2nd edition of East London Painting Prize. The prize, launched in 2014, was created by the Foundation for Future London and Bow Arts Trust, with the support of the Goldhill Family and the Zabludowicz Collection, “to celebrate the diversity of artists working with painting in the boroughs of the East London”. Selected among a list of 23 artists, Willem Weismann was awarded for his painting “Library Guide” (2015). The prize includes a solo exhibition at Nunnery Gallery this autumn.
